Recipes from Tuscanyhemp.com. From product to table.
Thinking about the holidays we have prepared these delicious Christmas biscuits with hemp seed flour "Tuscanyhemp" that you can find on sale in our shop in the 250 gr pack.
This recipe is suitable for making approximately 25 biscuits .
Hemp seed flour is produced from domestic seeds from organic farming. It is normally used at 10-20% of the total dough (in our recipe we used 25 g, equal to about 10% of the total).
Using hemp flour in the kitchen is very useful and healthy. In fact, it is characterized by its precious properties:
- it is rich in fibre, mineral salts and vitamins
- It is rich in Omega3, Omega6 fatty acids, and all the essential amino acids
Also noteworthy is the flavor that the flour gives to the dough in general and to the biscuits in particular. In our recipe we also added a pinch of cinnamon powder that marries wonderfully with the almond aftertaste of the flour itself and with the dark chocolate chips. Try it and believe it…
Ingredients for about 25 biscuits
250 g type 1 flour
25 gr Tuscanyhemp hemp seed flour
100 ml vegetable milk
100 g of butter
100 g of brown sugar
60 g dark chocolate
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon honey
1 pinch of cinnamon powder
Preparation
To prepare the cookie dough we used a bowl in which we poured the flours, vegetable milk and sugar. After that we added butter and then salt, yeast, dark chocolate chopped into small cubes, honey and cinnamon powder.
Once we had a workable dough, we moved it onto a work surface and continued kneading by hand, adding a pinch of flour.
We then placed the dough in cling film and placed it in the fridge for 45 minutes.
After this period and removing the dough from the fridge, using a rolling pin we rolled it out until the dough was about half a centimeter high. Using kitchen cutters (round, Christmas trees, stars, little men, etc.) we formed the individual biscuits by placing them on a baking tray, slightly apart from each other, where we had previously placed the baking paper.
Preheat the oven to 170° C and bake them for about 12-15 minutes until they are lightly browned. Once cooked and left to cool, we add some icing sugar (to taste).
Now you can try it too! Enjoy your meal!
